God helps those who help themselves

Once, a rich fisherman left his house to go to another city for trade. He went to the city in a large boat with his friends. He was carrying trunk full of gold coins.

One day a storm began, huge waves rose in the sea. They rocked the boat from side to side and people started screaming with fright. A few hours later the storm stopped but the boat had a hole at its bottom. Water started seeping into the boat. Fisherman’s friends took the life boat and and got of the drowning boat. The fisherman started praying , “God please save my life. If i stay alive I will offer a lot of gold to you.” One friend went to fisherman and said, “Don’t pray to god . Try to jump out and swim ashore. Remember, God help those who help themselves.

A VISIT TO THE SUPREME COURT MUSEUM

“The law embodies the story of nations development through many centuries”.

To unveil the glories of our nation my parents organised an excursion where i visited the supreme court museum of India. The two days workshop was a great learning experience about the rich heritage of the judicial history and its system.

Day one session was an interactive session where we reviewed our knowledge of the Indian constitution and various aspects of the judicial system. The workings of the supreme court and the importance of the public interest litigation were explored by us. Day two was an experimental learning for the students where we learnt to apply knowledge of the judiciary system i to deal with different issues through different case studies.

The museum displaying three different periods: Ancient, medieval and Modern helped us to understand the various laws that were formulated in the form of several seals, inscriptions from ancient times and documents relating to the several court cases that have played an important role in developing our constitution. We were shown a short documentary movie, on India’s independence struggle, formation of the constitution and the different organs of the government, Several other activities were conducted by Flow India that allowed students to access their learning. Notable cases and their impact on the formulation of several new laws and rights were also discussed.

This involvement encouraged us to ponder over the judiciary and the law system of our country and inspired us to discuss, debate and judge the pros and cons of the policies of the government and to become more aware of the Judicial System of India.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
